A fabric ordering frenzy!!

So I've just ordered some fabrics that I am tres excited about from fabricrehab.co.uk

This gorgeous house print I am going to use to make cushion covers for my dinner table, so cute, no?

And this Scandinavian print I just couldn't leave!! I think I want to make a quilted bag out of it, maybe like an overnight bag or something. I really want to find a bright red fabric with tiny white polka dots for the lining! It would also make a cute changing mat too...hmmm decisions...

I also went into mypatternedhand yesterday (I was on a retail therapy outing) to start the first draft of a project that I want to become much bigger. You see it's in my head and looks beautiful there but whether when actually finished it has the same look I don't know. Again it ties in with my Scandinavian obsession! I hope to get started on that this weekend so more later...

Hi Craft-ettes!

This is just a little bloggy to showcase the stuff I make in my world (a very amateur one at that) of making! I have been inspired my by friend who lives on the other side of the world who is a supermum and all round fab gal, you can find her at sarahjanebowling.blogspot.com

I've made a few bits and pieces thus far namely two baby blankets, the first which Sarah helped me with and then a toy to go with the blanket. Here's the blanket and toy:

The elephant is called Neil and you can find his pattern in the book:

I've just given the blanket and Neil to one of my best friends who is expecting. And no, she doesn't know what she's having but I checked with some mums who have girls as to whether they thought the fabric was to boyish. They said hell no, so I'm rolling with it! And besides the couple love animals and safari, so really it's about appealing to the parents I feel!
